Regulation Authority:

AUTHORITY: Title 20, Chapters 42-17.1, 42-17.6, and 42-17.7, and in accordance with Chapter 42-35-18(b)(5), Administrative Procedures Act of the Rhode Island General Laws of 1956, as amended.

Purpose and Reason:

1. Section 3.7.1 - recreational summer flounder: change minimum size to 19"; change bag limit to 4 fish. 2. Section 3.9.1 - recreational Tautog: change 2nd sub-period dates to 8/1 - 10/14; and 3rd sub-period dates to 10/15 - 12/15. 3.Section 3.9.2 - commercial Tautog: amend Spring, Summer, and Fall sub-period allocations to 40%, 20%, and 40% respectively. 4. Section 3.10.2 - commercial Bluefish: change minimum size to 12"; change 2nd sub-period dates to 5/1 - 11/11 and possession limit to 6,000 lbs/vsl/day; and change 3rd sub-period dates to 11/12 - 12/31. 5. Section 3.14.1 - recreational Black Sea Bass: change 1st sub-period dates to 5/25 - 8/31; change/add 2nd sub-period dates to 9/1 - 9/21; change to close fishery 9/22 - 10/21; and change/add 3rd sub-period dates to 10/22 - 12/31.
